ZARA HOOSHYAR

Artist Statement

She is a self-taught London based Artist.

Her painting aim to represent and preserve this beauty and the profound moments of our lives. Her artwork is inspired by individual creativity.

Paintings are both a direct reflection of her surroundings and an imaginary world - a secret in her mind. Multiplicity of colors, symbols of movement and dynamics, nature and space have a special place in her works.

As the marks evolve into form she begins responding with color and shape, layers and layers of color and shape.

Zara’s color palate is governed by her mood and the general feeling. She wants to create within each painting and generally work with analogous colors combinations. However, she is not afraid of color.

She works spontaneously and rarely begin with a set plan in mind, letting each painting evolve intuitively as she builds each layer of paint and works quickly to begin with, which is why she prefers to work with faster drying acrylic paints.

She creates a world that she wants to be in and that provides an escape from the everyday.
